no not really,,,or u can say it in a playful way..

it will be embarrassing to the person no matter what. But you can try talking to that person in private. Pull them aside and tell them that their mouth doesn't smell so pleasing. It will be tough for you both but you're saving that person any more embarrassment For Christmas or birthday, give them a bottle of Listerene and tell them to use full strengh and don't dilute it. Gargle at least 3 minutes if possible.

I don't know about that one. I had a boyfriend who had horrific breath. He was a great guy, but I had to hold my breath all the time. It was hard. I didn't want to be rude. I gave him mints, gum, toothpaste, better healthier food, suggested going to the Dr's, without actually saying his breath was killing me. I wondered if he could smell it. It ended up being a reason why I left him. I just didn't know how to be rude and poliete at the same time!! Good Luck!

It's hard to do.

However, you might tell someone something like: "You might want to freshen your breath a little. Here's some gum."

Or you might just offer them some gum or a breath mint as you take some yourself.

If it's an ongoing thing, it could be a bad tooth, or an illness. Some people can't help that. For instance, a rotten tooth collects food which rots in the cavity, too. Until that is taken care of, the mouth will smell bad.

Finally someone asks this question. i would advise you from my personal experience. I was with a friend in the library,we sat on the same table and her mouth smelt horrible so i took out a packet of mint flavored gum and took one for myself then asked her if she wanted one. She said yes and i gave her one and the smell disappeared. My advise is have a packet of gum handy and when someones mouth smells bad, politely offer them a piece of gum, in most instances they take it.

chronic bad breath is often caused by gingivitis if one doesn't brush effectively the plaque turns to tartar and that in effect is dead germ skeletons piling up on ones teeth. a visit to the dental office is the only way to remove the tartar and the odour goes with it! maybe try talking about dental office experiences then gently suggest they need a check up due to bad breath.

NO. It doesn't matter how you say it, you are still going to hurt the person's feelings, but they will get over it. How is he/she going to know if nobody tells him/her. hey. why dont you try not telling them and then whenever your around them say "hey! i got this new gum (mint, ext.) and its really good you want a piece?" that way you dont have to smell their breath and their not embaressed! yay! we all win!
