Should my dentist be liable?
Question:
Answers:
Set up a time with your dentist to discuss why these fillings "fell out". Permanent fillings should last 5-10 years. If you don't like what he tells you, get a second opinion.

i don't know but i lost my teeth cause of my dentist
I've had three of them that have lasted 10 years so far. Go back and talk to him, they should at least give you a very good discount if not repair for free. Are you sure that they were not temp. sometimes they fill your teeth with the temp stuff and forget to ask you to comeback so they can get the job done, Especially after you pay them in full. Yuck a roo. are you eating a lot of gooey candy? 10 fillings? EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
i would say yes he is at fault. Find out if it had mercury in them. That would tell you allot. Good luck.
I've had a ton of work on my teeth and I can tell you.go to a differnt dentist. That is not normal.
I would say his work was sub par. I have dental work that was done when I was a kid and it's as good now as it was then. You should complain and try to get your money back for the procedures and get yourself a new dentist. I wouldn't have that dentist doing any work on me - whether it was repairing his work or any new work. i had 11 when i was 12 and they are still ther (as far as I know) you need to call your insurance comapny EVERYTING has a warranty or garauntee nowadays!
his fault.go to a new dentist now. there is a new way of filling cavities in, its a type of liquid they fill in the hole and then sahpe it to fit into the shape of your other tooth.. if he isn't doing that..he's a little behind.
Are you eating rocks? (just kidding) Seriously though, do you grind your teeth (maybe when sleeping?) If not, it is probably the dentist's fault - I would talk to him/her about it and it they won't fix it for free, I would certainly go elsewhere.
I don't think you'll be able to get him to agree that his work was faulty even if it was. Looks like you might have to dig in your pocket again. Except I wouldn't let the same dentist rob me twice. Trust your pretty smile with someone else. I would say they should be held reliable. The only thing that I can think of that would make a filling come out would be if you eat alot of jolly ranchers or something to that nature. I had fillings put in back when i was 12 or 13 and I am now 28 and never had them fall out. The only time I have had anything happen is when a dentist had done a root canal and about six months later the filling stuff started to decompose and they had to redo the tooth again. Free of charge. So I would call your dentist and let them now.
You should go back and have the work redone. Fillings should last years. The dentist I work for would repair the lost fillings for free.and so should yours. Call him
