how much does it cost to get dentures?

Dentures themselves can range in price just like anything. You can find a cheap economy set for a couple hundred dollars. They don't look the realest, or they might not last too long, but they get the job done. They can cost upwards of 4 grand for a full set of dentures. It depends on where you live, and what dentist you go to. They put an unbelievable upcharge on dentures. For me, I paid about $4,000 total for my extractions (all 32 teeth with IV sedation) and dentures. That was with insurance, if i didn't have insurance it would have cost about $8,000 total. Then i'll be going back once my benefits renew in January to get two implants in my lower jaw to hold it in place. That will be about another $4,000 but i haven't called to find out how much my insurance will pay. By the way, i went to an oral surgeon for my extractions and will go to him for the implants, but i went to affordable dentures to get my dentures. Check out their website and see if there is a place by you. I am very happy with their work.

It depends on where you go. If you go to a denturist you will pay less and your denture will be the same as if you went to a regular dentist. Denturist always work in conjunction with a dentist. It's like just cutting out the middle man which always saves you money. Make sure you go to a good denturist though, he or she will send you to a dentist for an exam. Then back to the denturist for all the work.
