How long does novicane last?

Question:
I went to an oral surgen around 5:00 P.M. When does the novican wear off?

Answers:
It's different for everyone. It can be anywhere from 3-6 hours. If you can, take 600-800mg of Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for a day or two after a tooth is taken out. That will help with any soreness and if you can, take it before the numbness wears off, so that way you are ahead of the discomfort before it even starts. Good luck!

Other Answers:
4-5 hrs for most people

Normally about 3 to 4 hours for me Not long enough

After 4-5 hours, gradually. I wouldn't drive until next day.

4-5 hours maybe even longer
your doc should have told you this

Pretty soon. Do you have some Tylenol 3? You already have your answer, 3-5 hours, at threee the area starts reducing. But it's a pretty f***ed up feeling, isn't it?

it depends how much the surgeon gave you. I had a root canal done last year and mine lasted about an hour after I left the office.

Novocaine may take several to 24 hours to wear off. Sometimes the dentist uses Carbocaine or another drug but the time is about the same. If you are still numb in the morning call the dentist. If you had surgery he may have given you more so you wouldn't be in pain for a while.

i went in around ten this morning, and i think it finally wore off around 12:30 or 1 pm. but i think it's different for everyone. only half an hour

2-4 hours depending on the person.
