Braces are a good thing! They really help ! I have them for 7 months now and i have noticed a BIG change in my smaile already! I will be taking them off soon, but i know that you will enjoy yours. Just make sure that you put some wax on them before you go to sleep and take medicine (Asprin) before you go to the orthodontist. When they work on you it doesnt hurt, but once you are out the door, you will start to feel the pain, and if you took that medicine , it will not hurt as much! GOOD LUCK IMPROVING YOUR BEAUTIFUL SMILE!

I had braces for 1 1/2 years. Make sure to keep your teeth healthy while you have them (or else you could get stains). Also, try not to get impatient. braces are bothersome sometimes, but you will have a GREAT smile after you get them off - just keep looking forward to that day! :) i ve braces & the only thing i can tell u right now is that it hurts like hell but its worth it

Don't be scared, When they put them on, it doesn't hurt at all,like ZERO pain, but after they put them on your teeth kinda throb, but if you take some medicine then you will be absolutely fine,and I suggest that you take some medicine right before you get your braces on, and every time you get them tightend you should take some medicine tp ease the pain! You should be fine though!

um. always wear the rubber bands when they give them to u. it will really speed up the process. and they will hurt for a few days. I have braces and they will hurt for a week. It will also feel really weird against your cheeks. You have to be care full what you eat. I'm sure that they already talked you you about that. It will be over before you know it. My sister and I got braces at the same time and she got them off before me, which stinks!

Well I do not have braces but my daughter have hers like 3 months ago, and the first week she was in pain not that much, they give her some medicine for the pain, after that is been cool.
