Question:

Answers:
there is always a chance when you have wisdom teeth removed that it can cause some nerve damage, sometimes the nerves will regenerate sometimes they wont.

Other Answers:
Maybe a nerve got damage when the site was numbed, or when the tooth was removed. She should ask her dentist about it.
It is possible that when extracting the tooth the nerve may have been hit and this could be causing the numbness, the nerves in the jaw come close to where wisdom teeth usually are.
In addition to the answers already provided, it could also depend on the type of anesthetic the dentist used. Research has shown that prilocaine and articaine, especially when used to number the manidbular block can result in parasthesia. I would definitely contact the dentist, continued numbness even just more than a few hours post-op is a cause for concern.
She should call her oral surgeon and talk to him/her about it.
