How long does it take for the pain from a new retainer to go away??

I just got a retainer for the first time (top and bottom), and I'm wondering how long I'm gonna be in a pain and if there's anything I can do to help it, besides popping pills. Thanks!

theres nothing you can do to make the pain go away except pop pills .... itll take about a week or so becuase of how your teeth are moving

I had braces myself and had retrainers afterwards I used orajel and the pain will last for about 2 to 4 days..

my retainer only took over night when i slept with it in. but mine is probably different then urs. its clear...but still wearing it overnight should help it be more comfortable the next times that you wear it
