my mouth hurts :(?
Question:
Answers:
i just got my 4 wisdom teeth cut out yesturday and im in a little bit of sore they gave me amoxocilian, motrin, and loratabs to take throughout the day. the pain you have might be from them cutting them out. when you get wisdom teeth cut out they actually dont get the full tooth so you might still have a couple pieces in the whole. so look in the mirror and see if you have any visible small pieces if so try to get it out and if you cant call the oral surgen back. also try rinsing your mouth out with luke warm salt water you might just have some food stuck in there. and if your oral surgeon continues not to listen to you find another one that could take a look at it. it sucks i know but i hope you feel better soon!

You probably have dry sockets. I'd go see the OMS that took the teeth out soon. He can place a dressing in the sockets to help with the pain and possible infection.
depends...you could have dry socket or bone shards working their way out. maybe you should give him a call
Mine hurt for 2 or 3 weeks...and I was really sick from it.
it may be infected
Call the dentist
some people take a longer time to heal. if it still hurts for a few more days contact your doctor because it might mean your having complications such as infection.
Sounds like a dry socket......you need to go back to the dentist so they can pack it. A dry socket means the blood clot in the socket has dislodged and bone is actually exposed. Its painful to say the least. Do a search on "dry socket" and see of your symptoms match. Call your dentist in the morning...it will not go away on its own.
Your oral surgeon should take a closer look. Some times the gums heal faster than normal and trap the fluids that need to drain ,causing pressure to build. This is painful and should be checked by your Dr.
Mine did this and my Dr. lanced the gum to allow it to drain...instant relief.
Could be a dry socket. A dry socket is an extraction site that is not healing correctly. A clot is required for the site to heal. No real answer as to why some people get them and some don't. Tend to be more prevalent in lower extraction sites. Use of tobacco makes it worse, as the nicotine constricts blood vessels-thus, poor healing. Your dentist can place a medicated artificial clot and it will relieve the pain almost immediately. He or she also may give you some anesthesia (numb the site) and clean out the "hole" and try to get a clot to form. It will take about 6 weeks for the "hole" to fill in and heal throughly. You must keep your mouth very clean.
if you have dry sockets then you need an antibiotic.
did you smoke or suck through a straw after your surgery? If you have dry sockets they are VERY painful. I had them also after wisdom tooth removal. Take some motrin, 800 mg if you have no ulcer or stomach problems. Take this with food or milk, not more than every 6 hours. Good luck.
