is there an alternative to braces other than veneers or invisalign?

Question:
I am in iraq and I cannot care for braces or veneers but I dont want to get veneers because I heard there were a lot of disadvantages to getting them. I would like to start working on getting my teeth straight while I am deployed.

Answers:
Unfortunately no. Invisilign is only meant for the very minimal of straightening of the teeth and as far as the venners go. It all depends on who does your veneers. I have 4 of them in the front and they are beautiful and I have had them for about 6 years and ahve never had a problem with them. They are much easier to care for than braces and depending on how many you need could be much cheaper, but I wouldn't let a dentist in Iraq do them no offense to anyone. My husband is a D.D.S. here in California and he specializes in cosmetic dentistry etc. He did my veneers and a whole lot of full mouth reconstruction cases and all of our patients have been thrilled with them. If you ever make it back to the states and can wait to have them done , I would seriously consider looking him up. We have had people all the way from England fly in to have their work done by him. Look him up and you can even email him for further dental questions. www.lafrom.com Hope this helps!

Invisalign thats it i think
those tacky removable braces, but TRUST ME! they DO NOT work. braces is really the only thing will will really get ur teeth stright. they're not that bad, the only cause extreme discomfort, slice the sides of your mouth, make ur ums swell, c, it's not THAT bad! <33
Knock your own teeth out
Those are probably your best bet right now. Invisalign is not meant for anyone that needs braces because usually it's only used for teeth that aren't extremely crowded. Same goes for veneers..if your teeth are crowded and obviously out of place.veneers won't really be helpful. I'm sorry to say it, but the age old braces is the best way to go. Most people only wear them for a year or 2 anyway. Wait until you get back, it's the best way to go.

But it also depends on how old you are..better to get these things done as soon as possible. Braces are a bit more complicated the older you get. Mainly because your teeth are already formed. That's why most people get braces when they're younger because they're still able to adjust to the changes made to their teeth while they're still developing..

Anyway, GOOD LUCK =)
