Braces will make your lips look different because they are stuck on your teeth and your lips will not lie flat on your gums any more. It is painless getting them put on but afterwards it is painful. Not extremely painful but you will be tender for a day or two. It is usually tender after having them adjusted also.

It does not hurt when it gets put on, but a couple hours later you really start to feel some pain. For me it hurt for about three days, but for my sister about a week. It hurts a little when they get tightened too. It will most likely rub on your lips for a while. That hurts. So that's when you use the wax and advil.

Do they make you lips look fat or weird.At first cuz ur getting use to them.Do they hurt when they put them on Yes because it like braces are like a clamp pushing or teeth together and it will hurt for like 4 days but everyone is different good luck!
hi, initially when the braces are put on the front side of the teeth that is conventional tecnique the lips looks slightly thick as the braces occupy the space of the buccal and the labial mucosa. it does hurt a little if the orthodontist is banding the molars; if the molars are bonded it will not hurt and initially slight discomfort will be present as the brackets and the ligatures will irritate the mucosa but in a week's time you will get adjusted
sometimes, when you first get braces on, your lips look weird but not for long. it doesnt hurt when ur getting them on. (before they are on, when you get a mold of your mouth, breath through your nose!). After they are put on, and when they're tightened, they are usually sore the next day.

i just got braces.
my braces didn't make mine look like that. i got them in the morning on april 10 (my brother's birthday!) and that late afternoon and evening thay hurt kinda bad. they hurt a little for the following days, but now they don't hurt at all! :) i like them and i liked them even when they hurt, no it doesn't hurt when you're getting them on, only after
