Will vinegar remove calcium deposits from a dental retainer?

Question:
I know vinegar removes deposits from hard surfaces, but would it be safe to use on a plyable rubber/plastic retainer?

Answers:
Yes.

Other Answers:
Yes - no prob
most likely but the acid can also damage the acrylic. a better move would be to take it back to your dentist or orthodontist for a good soak in the ultrasonic. i'm sure it would be cheaper than a new retainer if you even got charged at all.
