Anyone had an apicoectomy done on their front tooth?
Question:
Answers:
I haven't had an apicoectomy personally, but I worked for a dentist and periodontist for 25 years, so I can give you the "general rule" following such a procedure. You should be comfortable enough for your trip within about a week of the surgery. It won't be healed completely, but it will be well on the way and any swelling and/or discomfort should be gone by then. Follow your surgeon's post-op instructions perfectly and you'll have fewer problems with swelling, etc. The surgeon will schedule you to come back for a post-op visit to check your healing before your trip.
