Gum recession, what procedures are available? is palete scaping a last resort?

alot depends on the reason that you have gum recession. or bone loss
Unfortunately there are not a lot of options to treat recession. If its just one tooth gingiva from neighboring teeth could possible be moved over to cover the area.
If its multiple teeth, grafts from other areas of your mouth (palate)are used to cover the defect.
