Possible Gum infection?
Question:
Answers:
An abcess, he can drain it to get temporary relief. Just know that it will not resolve the underlying problem, probably a dead tooth. You need to have the dead tooth either treated or extracted. The infection has spread through the bone and under the gum. Each time it swells the underlying bone is eaten away a tiny bit more. If you continue to drain it over and over again your bone will be permanently lost or affected badly. You can get a bone cyst which grows and spreads to other teeth. It's not a good long term situation.
Get it taken care of.

Stop chewing gum.
that's pus draining from a bone. the tooth is the source of the infection. it needs a root canal or extraction. do something about it before you end up calling my office on a friday night with a fever and a swollen face.
this needs to be taken care of pronto!
stop
I had a similar situation. You have an abscess that is destroying the bone in your face. I lost some, it ain't pretty. Go directly to a dentist and have it taken care of. If you can't afford insurance go to an institute of higher learning where they have a dentists or dental assistant program and get on their list of patients. But do something about it NOW! It can kill you if left unattended. Not to mention it can hurt like nothing you have ever experienced before.
Good luck mate,
