Is something wrong with my teeth?
Question:
Answers:
your gums are officially diseased if they bleed by just touching them with a piece of string. think about it. if you rubbed some floss anywhere else on your body and blood poured out wouldn't you be worried. of course you would.
any places that bleed need to be flossed more aggressively. tie a little not in your floss and pull that back and forth thru the contact. you need to do this twice a day until the bleeding stops.
if you haven't had your teeth cleaned in a while then jump on that too. if you have buildup at or below the gumline then there is nothing that you can do at home to fix this. only your hygienist can fix that.
if you do nothing then the next phase of your disease is periodontitis which means you'll be losing bone the holds the teeth in. perio is the most common cause for toothloss in america

It could be gingivitis or periodontal disease, see a dentist
go 2 hell yep you got gingavitis
I'm not a dentist, but I strongly suggest you see one quickly. Bleeding gums is a strong sign that there is something wrong. Don't fear! Today's dentistry is terrific and most problems can be solved with medication!
It sounds like you may have gingivitis, which is a gum disease. Speak to your dentist..you may be able to get it under control and prevent further damage. Continue flossing..your gums will toughen up and it makes them healthier (per my dentist). But see your dentist soon!
Bleeding is a sign of infection. You probably have a case of gingivitis. Best to see your dentist and get started on medicine-- it's a disease that can have serious consequences.
The symptoms of gingivitis are as follows:
* Swollen gums
* Mouth sores
* Bright-red, or purple gums
* Shiny gums
* Gums that are painless, except when touched
* Gums that bleed easily, even with gentle brushing
* Gums that itch with varying degrees of severity
* Receding gumline
