side of my upper molar came off is that hard to fix?

Question:
not in pain but will be soon

Answers:
It depends on the amount of tooth surface that is missing. When some teeth are chipped a filling can be put in place of the tooth. If the filling is large a crown may have to be done to restore the tooth. A worst case scenario would be is the chip is very large and the nerve is exposed. If that is the condition a root canal would be advised.

See your dentist. He will take an x-ray of the tooth to evaluate the status of the nerve of the tooth. Good luck!

Other Answers:
You will probably need a crown
Not if you are a dentist.
You need to see a dentist and have the tooth x-rayed. Don't think that just because you aren't in pain right now that you won't be in the future. Your molar broke most likely because it was decayed (had a cavity or crack). Regular dental checkups will reduce things like this from happening and could possibly defer the cost of dental treatment by catching cavities when they are small and easily fixed with a filling, rather than a costly crown, or worse a root canal which is followed by the cost of a crown. When you schedule and appointment to see the dentist for this tooth make sure you schedule another appointment before you leave to being a regular check-up routine. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
you will prob need a crown and if it hurts then maybe a root canal too
