does chewing trident orbit or dentyne after eating really help clean your teeth?

Question:
please respond!

Answers:
No, it doesn't really. They don't have sugar, so they don't add to the decay of your teeth, and they produce saliva, which actually helps your teeth battle the acid that may be there due to some foods. It doens't harm your teeth, but it doesn't replace flossing and brushing.

Other Answers:
i don't think so. but do 90 percent of the toothpastes that claim to whiten your teeth really whiten? i've never noticed

it's not the gum, it's the saliva that chewing the gum cause that helps clean your teeth Yes

Chewing any gum generates saliva that washes away food and sugars. The gum physically rubs off a certain amount, too.

It doesn't help clean them, but rather gets particles out that were left from eating.
If these particles are kept in your mouth, then they can start to cause decay in your teeth.

Chew away.

NO Yes! and I can't find the original Dentyne anymore. It kinda sticks to stuff and I think some people must have had their fillings get pulled out because of it.
But it was good for me to get the fuzz off my teeth when I can't brush.

yes in a way.it breaks up the plaque..you chew.you produce saliva..saliva breaks down plaque..chew away my friend, but beware of TMJ.can be caused by chewing too much gum:( Chewing gum which contains the sugar Xylitol (Such as Trident) actually helps to reduce the amount of bacteria in your mouth that causes cavities.

Nomally when you consume sugar, the bacteria in your mouth go crazy and digest it to produce lactic acid, which can help demineralize your teeth and give you cavities.

However, this bacteria (called Streptococcus Mutans) can't ferment the Xylitol sugar. It tries though, and is actually weakened in the process. Look for gum with Xylitol, it works!

Chewing gum does produce Saliva which helps wash bacteria off the surface of your teeth. If you can't chew gum or brush directly after meals than rinse your mouth with water!!

No it jusst masks the smell yeah it does
