How much would it cost to fix a broken retainer?

Question: My retainer has a fake tooth on it cus i'll be getting an implant soon, but yesterday i dropped it in the sink and the tooth part came off....how much do you think it would cost to get it fixed? called my dentist but the receptionist doesn't know crap...

It depends on whether the dentist can do it in the office or if it needs to be sent to a dental lab. You can ballpark it at about $100, give or take. There is no WAY it will cost $500! You could get a new one and change for that.
