Is it ok to pick out the scar tissue around my toung ring?
I have the scar tissue forming around my tounge ring is it ok to pick it off?
I'm 15 and I had all of my teeth taken out last Tuesday. How long will it hurt like this?

NO! It is not okay. Picking at it can tear open the skin causing infections, inflamation and worse still, the scar tissue can increase in size with prolonged irritation. Best thing to do is ignore it, wash with sea salt daily, minimize smoking (if you are a smoker). Most scar tissue will not go away, removal of jewelry and repiercing won't help this either. Chances are something traumatized the hole to cause it. Give it time and hope your body breaks it down.
