How do you convince someone to brush their?

Question:
teeth more often? (they don't brush everyday) How do you do it without being rude or insensitive. serious answers please.

Answers:
It is always hard to say this kind of thing to someone but life is not easy. Just sit with them one day in private and break it to them gently. Tell them the importance of brushing and flossing everyday. Be serious and understanding don't talk down to them. You could even start off by saying i notice you do not brush everyday why is that. You never know maybe they have a reason or don't know you should do it everyday. If you just feel you can't do it then try a professional bring them to the dentist and have them tell your friend they do this all the time. Anyway if this is your friend they would want to know and might be hurt at first or not but they will thank you. Don't think of it as a negative thing you are just being a concerned friend and would expect the same honesty from that person.

HEY YOU! YEAH YOU! I'M TALKIN' TO YOUUUUUUUUU! YOU NEED TO BRUSH YA DAG GUM TEETH! :) How's that? :)

Depends who you telling to. tell them they may need a new toothpaste because you can still smell the stank

I would be open and honest with them but I would also do it in a private secluded area

tell them that without brushing their teeth, they can never have a beautiful smile, and No one likes to kiss them.

send an anonymous package with oral hygiene products. They will get the idea. brush at the same time!

Is this for a child or maybe your significant other? Honestly, there is no real easy way to bring this up. I would first start with reassuring them how much you love them and you want to talk to them about something serious and to also let them know you're not saying this to be rude or insensitive but to help you in the long run. Once you say all that then proceed with talking about the importance of brushing your teeth everyday. Let them know about cavities, bad breath, gingivitis things like that. They will be a little bit hurt when you say this but sometimes it's for the best and hopefully they'll open their eyes and see the severity of the situation. Good Luck!

I've encountered people like you describe before and you may not be able to change them. They must want to change. You should tell them them the truth of the matter and not worry about feelings because your acting out of love or kindness. He/She must decide to change themselves. I thought it was going to be --brush their--??--anyway teeth will do okThe first thing you do is tell them that you yourself had a realy bad breath problem as you didnt clean your teeth.--The truth is -these people have realy bad breath--not because they dont clean their teeth--but because they have a decayed tooth in their mouth which stinks, but they have a fear of going to the dreaded dentist.I personaly love the dentist;-dont you""??--give your freind a peppermint .

I don't know exactly how to do this, but you might ask them if they have visited the dentist lately. Then tell them about a "Friend" who discovered an abscess because she had bad breath. (Tooth decay can cause bad breath.)

You might also get a hold of a copy of a dental hygiene brochure, and give it to them, or leave it on their desk anonymously. (they probably don't floss either.)

Of course, if they were a good Friend, they probably will appreciate your telling them, and saving them the embarrassment of walking around with bad breath.

You could even tell them about me. I never brushed my teeth or flossed until I needed lots of cavities filled as an adult. Now, I haven't had cavities for about five years. Floss is a heck of a lot cheaper, and more convenient than going to the dentist.

My older sister, let her teeth totally rot. One day her grandson (about 3 years old) told her her mouth smelled, and refused a hug. She finally got her teeth pulled, and got dentures.

I once told my piano teacher, that he might want to pay attention to how tight he fastened his belt. Because his crack showed one day sitting at the piano in front of the class. It was awkward, but he thanked me. I knew that he would want to know.
