The area where I got my wisdom tooth out burns somewhat when I swish with salt+ warm water. Is this normal?
Question:
Answers:
If it's just a little burning, that's nothing to be too concerned about. But if it's throbbing to the degree that you can't eat or sleep or focus on your work, then you may have what's known as a dry socket. In that case, you need to see your dentist (or dental surgeon, as the case may be)as soon as possible.
Dry socket: a bone infection after a recent extraction, 3-4 days. It is characterized by extreme pain near the extraction site.
Other Answers:
It depends on how long ago you got the wisdom tooth pulled. It takes a while to heal the wound - especially in the mouth, due to lower blood flow to the teeth/jaw area. If it has been more than a week, call your dentist. It may mean you got an infection.
Salt in wounds causes pain normally.
Yes it's normal, but if it doesn't stop soon have it checked out. burning is fine but if it hurts or bleeds u better visit a dentist wisdom tooth extractions r quite complicated n take more time healing if its been more than a week u havin this prob after ur extraction i being a dentist myself will advice u to visit one that area is quite a sensitive one if not taken care of can lead to serious infections at times the nerve which is being made numb tears which can also cause burning if this persists u better line up to clinic
