i have to wear retainers and they are not like normal retainers......?

Use the retainers your orthodontist gave you. Not everyone is a candidate for InvisAlign. Ask him if they are InvisAlign. Don't doubt him, he studied along time to treat you, it's not easy getting to where he is. Trust me, I am in my last year of dental school, and it is very friggin' hard to get through. Different retainers have different objectives, so stick to the ones he gave you.

I have the same kind. I have had both. The traditional plastic and metal wire retainers are nice, and come in colors, but I don't really like the feeling of the retainer on the roof of your mouth. The others are good, and are more fine-tuned, but it is pesky when you have food in them. If you brush your teeth before and after you take them out, it's fine. the ones like invisalygn also have to be replaced more frequently. it depends on what you like.

keep em you have good retainers and they dont have metal can you say not annoying
