Can bad tooth cause joint/knee pain?

Question:
is it possible a bad tooth was causing me to have severe pains in my knee/leg? I had a root canal in it about 6 years ago and a crown. Now as I recall the pain in my knee started then.

I had the tooth removed last weekend - it seems a lot of other pain is gone too.

Can that be possible?

Answers:
I am not certain about it causing knee pain but pain anywhere in the sinus's or head. If you let it go to long there is a chance of infection then abcess then blood poisoning and death.

Have a nice day

if your tooth had infection it stimulated other infection such as joint rthomatisma?
Nope. I think it's just a coincidence. When one is in pain, all sort of pain starts to come in. It's funny, isn't it? I think it's the brain at work. =)
Sure, there are a lot of reasons you can imagine would, in which removing a bad tooth can relieve pain elsewhere. If the tooth was causing you to loos sleep that could cause soreness and stiffness in your knee joint/s. Perhaps the elevated level of inflammatory response molecules( mediators) from the tooth was have an indirect effect of exacerbating your knee.

Possible, Yes
If your tooth was infected it can cause all kinds of problems with the rest of your body.
I dont know about it directly affecting a knee but your bodies immune system has to work harder to fight off infection and can cause weekness in other area that need fighting off.
i think its mor likely that your root canal also made you insane.
i think that is a strange coincidence and nothing more
