How long do spacers stay in for?

Question:
I went to the ortho aug 4th to get spacers in my teeth. And my next appointment is aug 22. They have been in my mouth for over 10 days! So when will these annoying things pop out??

Answers:
They are usually in for about 2 weeks, but some orthodontists like to have them in for closer to 4. If they pop out, your teeth won't move properly and they won't be able to get the braces on. They'll just give you more spacers and tell you to come back in another 2 weeks.

Other Answers:
Probably the 22nd.
7-10 days seems to be the usual. You might just be stuck in vacation limbo so you'll have to wait until the orthodontist gets back. Or, you might have needed them for longer than most people. I have not seen your teeth...
They should take them out during your next appointment. Oh I hated those.
6 months to a year for me
