it all", but I do feel like I have learned so much about the different aspects of running a practice from the clinical side to the business aspect. My question is how do I suggest things and share my ideas without coming across as overbearing? I also don't want to come across as a know it all, even though I feel somewhat confident in my knowledge. I just wanted a dentists opinion without having to ask my boss and my other friends that are dentists who have a biased opinion.

You don't have to know it all to make a difference. Feel free to suggest changes to your boss in a constructive way that isn't seen as criticizing. As Dre suggests, promote the ideas as ways of creating more efficiency in the office. While the dentist might feel you are out of place with the suggestion, making it in a more friendly way will definitely allow for the dentist to think about it without having to worry about being defensive. Intraoffice personel dynamics is a bear, sometimes it gets bad if you have clashing staff members. You feel like a babysitter not a dentist.
