could be, but go see your dentist to be sure
Wisdom teeth are the third molars. They could possibly be coming in and that is why your gums are sore. They come in between the ages of 17-24 (usually).
My own wisdom teeth are coming in and my jaw was SO sore for the last 9 days.
See your dentist if you can't get any relief because you may have an infection. And why not take a flashlight and look at your gums in the mirror to see if you can catch a glimpse of the tip breaking through the surface?
probably. Need an x-ray to be sure. If you are around 18 and already have two molars, they are probably wisdom teeth. Due to societal and evoluntionary changes, most people lack room in their mouth for the third molar and they can't fully erupt. Hence, the common need for extractions to avoid infections under that flap of gum.
Sounds like it to me, but I would go to the dentist. If they are and it's that painful, your teeth might not be coming in straight. That can become really painful. Just go to the dentist, they will tell you what's going on and what to do about it. Good Luck.
No, but your wisdom teeth could be under it. See your dentist.
I know exactly what you are talking about, but I honestly couldn't tell you the name of the skin flap. I have them on both sides of my mouth as well. I, however, had my wisdom teeth removed over 10 years ago. They can get irritated quite easily. Especially if you are chewing with your back teeth. I recommend chewing towards the front or on the other side while they are inflammed. When mine are sore I use baby teething medicine. It really helps.
Yup! Sure sounds like it.. Get em pulled out, or they will deal you problems until you do.. :(
How many teeth do you have? If you only have 24 at the moment then they are not your wisdom teeth they are your 12 year old molars. If however you already have 28 teeth then yes they could be your wisdom teeth, but they usually come up when you are 18-21 years old on average. Sounds like you need to go and see a Dentist or Dental Therapist to make sure.
