You might have a condition known as periodontitis. Basically what has happened is that there are bacteria within your gums that are affecting the integrity of your gums. Your dentures are also affecting the condition because they cause your bone to thin out (bone resorption). The first thing you need to do is get an appointment with a dentist and get a check up and find out exactly whats wrong and the extent of the damage. There is a specialty that deals only with the gums known as periodontology. You can also find out board certified periodontists in your area by calling 1800-DENTIST. Please dont delay this because your condition already seems critical. Please get help asap!! Hope this helps!

you should RLY goto ur dentist, im not sure if there is a way to build someones gum tissue back, but if u look at before and after pics of ppl with gingavitus or w.e they work mircals. may cost a lot tho.
It is not actually the gum tissue that you have lost it is the underlying bone that has been resorbed. Have a look at this site it gives you some very good information on what is going on in your mouth.

hey the best way is to show ur problems to a dentist..mostly,solutions are change human by human..if this helps,i m also a dentist so go to ur dentist s clinic immediately..
30 years and you have no mandibular bone left. Probably between 6-10 mm. Yes there is something that can be done. Your whole jaw and the bone can be rebuilt. Unfortunately it is very expensive. Even if you have the bone it cost upwards of $80,000 dollars. To have the bone graft back on top of that it will be even more. There are only a handfull of dental surgeon's capable of doing this type of work, so seeing yourdentist in this case will be relatively fruitless. You definitely need to get a refferal to the top implantologist in your area. Hopefully he can refer you to one of these reconstructive Guru's
I'm gathering that you have full upper and lower dentures. Ask your dentist about getting relines done IN THE OFFICE. You would be there around an hour, maybe more for FU/FL relines, but it can be done right then and there so you don't have to go without your teeth.
