on average how long should it take before adult teeth grow in after losing the baby teeth?

sit back and relax - it takes a while. for each person its different, so even if it is taking an unusually long time - it is fine. the tooth is still there. Now if you are really worried - there may a problem - like the tooth may be stuck behind a bone or another tooth - then go see a dentist and he will be able to tell easily by taking an xray. in some very rare cases the person may be missing a tooth ( most of the times that happens with wisdom teeth - they are the ones that grow in after or around 17 yrs of age) - but that is a good thing - less teeth to take out since wisdom teeth need to be surgically removed anyway. if you have any other specific concerns - ask me =)
