Wisdom Teeth Removal?

Okay, I need my wisdom teeth out, but my parents don't have insurance, and anyway I'm 21 now and don't have any of my own. I'm going on a road trip for like a month, and I don't know if I should wait until after the road trip. I can feel the teeth coming in a little, but there isn't really much pain - just pressure like I have an overfull mouth. I will get them out after the road trip, but is two months to long to wait at this point, or can I survive two more months without screwing up my beautiful beautiful face?
(After the road trip I'll get a job with dental, and it will cost WAY less)

first..wisdom teeth really suck! however, the pain your feeling is them breaking throught the gums (only if it is just pressure) if it is more like a throbbing pain, and it comes and goes but severe..then you might have decay either on the 3rd molar or the 2nd. you actually have you wisdom theeth most of your life, they just tend to become noticed when pain is involved. if it nothing severe, put it off until after your trip.. (it's not like they grew in over night). but consult a dentist for some x-rays to see how they are positioned.. you may never need them out. but word of advice.. if they are at all impacted, go with sedation, because they are painful. and get all 4 at once!! by the way..re: the insurance. Definatly call on the percentage of coverage for Oral Surgery, the Maximum Benfits, the Deductable and if there are any waiting periods.. best bet, have the Oral Surgeon submit a "pretreatment estimate" to your dental insurance so you know exactly what will and won't be covered. good luck!

You can wait, unless they really start to hurt.

What is a good cure for a tooth ache?

I am older than you and still have all four of mine. The dentist wants to take mine out but only because one of them has a cavity (my ONLY cavity). I believe that you will be fine for two months.

how can yo make your teeth whiter without buy thoses strip thinges?

i waited too long and it screwed up my bottom teeth. the pain should be the main factor though. 2 months, you should be ok.. but i m no dentist (and i messed mine up)

I do know this though, eat a whole pinapple fresh, just before you do it, something about the enzymes keep you from swelling, i thought it was an old wives tale but i did it and didn't swell/bruise at all.. worth a shot

I am in serious pain 5 days after a root canal. Could a broken file sealed in the tooth be the cause?

They always wanted to take mine out, too, when I was that age, because they had only come in halfway, there wasn't enough room for them, and the gums were swollen. I also had some pain and pressure, off and on, from them. Sometimes it'd last hours, other times it'd last a few weeks. Eat or chew on hard things, it helps the pain and pressure both.

I'm 27 now, and they've stopped telling me that the teeth need to be removed, because they've now come in almost all the way, the jaw grew slightly in response to the pressure of the extra teeth, and surprise, surprise, when the teeth finished coming in, the gums stopped being irritated. Turns out, wisdom teeth usually start coming in around age 13-15, you start seeing them around 15-20 or so, and it takes until you're about 30 to finish the process.

Most people get them removed at the first sign of pain, mistaking the teething pain, and slow development, for signs of problems. If you want them removed, go for it, but don't worry about waiting a couple months. Your body is pretty well designed; it can take the wait.

how long does it Take To Get Rid OF a Tooth Cavity?

If you use a discounted medical program like AmeriPlan, you can get the card in like a week and use it right then. You can save a lot of money compared to if you didn't have insurance. I just got it last month, but I wish I would have this month because now they are doing some sort of special where you can get it for $3 a month for 3 months.
