Does anyone know how much those complete dental make overs on t.v. cost?

Question:
I'm asking for prices in sterling or euro please. does anyone know how long they actually take because on the shows they seem to book the dentist for hours at a time over a period of just a couple of days and yet the people come out with amazing smiles.

Answers:
I'm actually in the middle of having this done at the moment (well not right this moment obviously). I'm having all crowns top and bottom apart from the ones right at the back, basically everything you can see when I smile. I had the choice of getting the crowns made in the UK (perfectly acceptable, good standard) which would cost £12000 or going for the Rolls Royce option of having them made in New York costing £16000. I've chosen the New York ones as I want the very best. My dentist offers 3 years interest free credit so it's costing £444 a month. So far I've spent 9 1/2 hours in the dentist's chair - 4 1/2 hours for the top teeth and then another appointment of 5 hours for the bottom. At the moment I've got temporaries fitted and they look better than my old teeth! I need two more appointments. The lab in New York weren't happy with the impressions the dentist took due to a couple of air bubbles. They have to be perfect so I'm back to the dentist on Monday to get the temporaries taken off, more impressions taken and temporaries refitted. Two weeks after that the final crowns should be ready for fitting. That will be the longest appointment of all. Pain-wise, my dentist has been excellent at preventing pain with locals, but sitting in a dentists chair for long periods obviously is uncomfortable. My teeth were ultra-sensitive but they have settled. I'm confident it will all be worthwhile when I finally get the proper crowns fitted at the end of this month.
TOOOOO much!
Thousands, literally, whether euros or dollars or pounds sterling.
thousands of dollars, i mean it cost liek 300$ just to get 1 tooth pulled
it takes a lot longer than it does on tv because the dentist has to work on his other patients. it will also cost a lot. im not sure how much but i would have thought £500+
Book a weeks holiday in some eastern European country and go the dentist there. It wont be more than the cost of your first days treatment in UK. Its good to Talk.
They cost thousands! And yes they do take hours of work.
Ummm, no, it doesn't cost $3000 to "pull leik one tooth".

"Extreme" makeovers sometimes involve extensive surgical procedures to correct facial defects.

For high-end cosmetic dentists, figure $1500 to $2500US per tooth for cosmetic veneers. Anything else, "leik" occlusal adjustments or surgery, would be extra.
I LIVE IN THE U.S.A. SO I CANNOT GIVE YOU A FIGURE. HERE IN THE US THE COST IS COVERED BY THE TV PROGRAM.
Depend on how bad is your teeth, but at least you talking of £ 3000
Hi!

In the UK it costs tens of thousands of pounds.

However, go to this Polish dental site:

www.polishdentalcare.com.

Hope this helps!
well it kinda depends on what you get done. i recently got 6 crowns put on which is what they sometimes do. it costed $5000, i'm not sure how much that would be in sterling or euro. the whole process took several weeks. they have to do molds of your teeth and have them sent to a lab to have temporary crowns made then they'll put the temps on which took about 3 or 4 hours for the mine. then like 3 weeks later they'll put the permanent ones on (this took only like an hour or so). i'm sure the process doesn't have to take as long as it did for me but it was totally worth all the time and money that went into it. my smile looks so much better now.
It really costs a lot, just to be advertised on TV (whatever currency you've got there)! So if I were you, I'll have myself a nice dental insurance and work out a deal with a reasonably good dentist. Or, even wear Crest White Strips sample for whiter teeth. You may browse this site http://www.upkb.com/crestwhitestrips.php. for dental care tips and product details.
Better ask your dentist about it! I almost had the same procedure before, but I thought of using Crest White Strips sample instead. So far, I've got no complaint! Also, visit this site http://www.upkb.com/crestwhitestrips.php. for tips and more info.
