Root Canal Treatment?

Question: I had my big molar root canaled about 22 hours ago. My jaw still aches and there is a constant throbbing in my tooth. Is this normal. If so how long should it persist. I am back to the dentist in about another 22 hours for treatment on another tooth, should the throbbing and jaw ache be over by then.
