Is Nicorette hard on your teeth?

Question:
I quit smoking again a few weeks ago and my gums are really bleeding badly. It seems to me this has happened before when chewing a lot of nicorette.

Anyone else have this experience?

Answers:
Some of the possible side effects of Nicorette are mouth ulcers, bleeding gums and burning sensation in the mouth. My patients tell me that the effects of so much gum chewing is causing traumatic injury to their oral mucosa or teeth and therefore, bleeding and painful gums...

Hope that helps.

Other Answers:
