Ulcer on gums?

Question:
I dont know if this is an ulcer or not. But something red and painful is on my top left gums and its making my teeth hurt when i bite down. Is it an ulcer? Would an ulcer make my teeth hurt?

Answers:
It could be an ulcerated sore (maybe a chip or bone accidently cut the gum), or it could be an abcess. It may also be a form of herpes. All can be treated easily. Get some oral gel for now (they make it for big people) to get you through the pain. Your mouth usually heals fast, but if its still there next week, call a dentist.or your doctor if you cannot get in to see the dentist. If its become infected, you may need an antibiodic.
Could be a can cor sore or might be an abscessed tooth, which if you tap on your teeth from the bottom up a bad tooth will give off severe pain.
