i believe that root canal is the soloution for all dental problems even gingival problems , dont u think?
Question:
Answers:
No... and please don't come to america you would never get board certified.
And how do you think it would be the solution to gingival problems (which might I say doesn't sound like something a "dentist" would say)? Having a root in your tooth has nothing to do with gingivitus and periodontal disease, even if you had a root canal you would still get plaque on that tooth causing decay!
Better yet just change your job!
Other Answers:
no way. Root canal is painful and destroys the nerve in the tooth and can result in a serious infection. Why would you do that if there's a simpler way?
i don't know. i always let my dentist decide which is the best option. i never have a root canal.
If you think a root canal is the answer to all dental problems, then I'm sorry to say that you probably won't have any patients. So if I had crooked teeth, instead of braces you'd give me a root canal? You need to find a different profession.
No they hurt like hell.
Root canal for gingivitis is overkill - all you need to do for that is use floss regularly and mouthwash such as Listerine to kill the bacteria. In severe cases of periodontal disease, you can perform planing, in which the dentist uses a laser to literally burn off food particles that are caught in pockets around the patent's gums, and between the teeth to reduce the bacteria Root canal should be performed only if the tooth decay has completely destroyed the majority of the tooth - it essentially kills all the nerves in that tooth to alleviate pain from the dying tissue - then the dentist hollows out the tooth to prepare it for a crown. I wouldn't go to a dentist who wanted to do a root canal if I just had a cavity.
I had one when i was 14 and now im 15 and I have had 3 infections from it already, which caused excrutiating pain and swelling to the point that it looked like i had a tumor on my face. Then when i went to the dentist, they said that there might be another root, and that the infection was bacterial from inside the tooth, and i take very good care of my teeth, so NO it is NOT the solution for anything!! Just pull the damn tooth out!
this is a joke people.
Root Canal treatment - other wise said - RTC - is an option for most of the treatment - mostly done for decay tooth - where earlier u had a option where tooth was removed - but the studies have shown that by rct treatment you can save your tooth.
The other placed most RCT is done is in prosthetics work - like for construction of bridge.
other reasons are orthodontia / peaodontia / periodontia
all most in other dental treatment it is done.'
it is like an implant - all the nerves and blood vessels are removed from the canal and it acts as a implant tooth - but a complete RCT treatment is to protect the tooth by topping it with crown.

I disagree with your idea. I would suggest that you do not offer this philosophy in any job interviews in the USA.
Root canal treatment might be required in the infamous endo-perio lesion, but it is by no means the solution to other gingival problems.
One of my favorite dental school instructors was from Iraq and another was from Iran. They were the best of friends in the USA.
