When I gargel with Listerine.?

Question:

Sometimes I get this brown eeky stuff come out when I spit it out! I don't know what it is!! I gargel like 10 times before its all gone and I tilt my head back so that it can get all in the back of my mouth. What could this stuff be?

You may be having a nose bleed far back in your nose that you are unaware of and are seeing old, congealed blood leaving your nasal passage in your post nasal drip.

Another explanation may be that you live or work in conditions where there is a lot of dust of some sort in the air and you are seeing this dust after it has built-up inside your nasal passages and is exiting your nasal passage in your post-nasal drip.

hey hun..i don't know if you smoke or not but my twin sis does and this happens to her..i told her to make sure and scrape her tongue before she swishes (with a tongue scraper or a metal spoon works really great) and it will make your mouth feel unbelievably clean..just take and scrap from the back of the tongue (as far as you can without gaging) towards the front and spit.you might have to scrape a couple of times and swish a couple of times to get your mouth the cleanest..after all our tongues hold germs more then any other part of our mouths..hope this helps.love daisy
