If it is due to burning the area with pizza or something hot, make sure you are not re injuring it. It should have healed by now. Usually we give 2 weeks for something to heal, otherwise it could be something more serious. Your dentist may want to do a biopsy of the area if he or she is concerned.
In any case, call and make an appointment, better safe than sorry.
