How old does a kid need to be before she can get braces on her teeth?

How do you keep edentures(false teeth) clean?

Answers:
Now a days they will take you at almost any age (5 and up).

But is it wise. No I dont believe so. It just makes double the money for the orthodontist.

My kids were told they needed braces at 10 (both of them). We did it and it has not fun. Those poor boys were in braces most of there preteen and teen lives. This is irresponsible of the dentist and ortho.
What they do is say you need them young and that is the first round. Then they take them off in 1-2 years for a year brake then they put braces on again for the 2nd round.

Ist round was $2,500 and 2nd round was $3,600. Now multiply times two kids. And they are still not done as they want more money for follow up and to make appliances to wear while they sleep etc.

I would say I spent at least $10,000 or more. Was it worth it never. I think as a child grows there teeth correct themselves. I have looked back and decided I threw all that money away and made my kids suffer for what? And the sad part is there teeth were looking good when we started (not perfect but good).

Save your money. Get braces if teeth are really crooked at 17.

Can someone please help? How to tell which part is real teeth and veneers from the back?

That depends on when the kid loses her baby teeth. Braces will help 'adult' teeth.

I'm getting a root canal..?

the youngest would be 7 years old. At least thats what it is at my orthadontist.

RED BUMP just appeared inside my mouth?

it depends on the condition of their teeth. some are getting them done way early since teeth are forming at a much younger age. I had a gap in my front teeth when i was 7 and they put braces on me for 2 months and it straightened it right out. so it really depends on the demand for it

Scared about getting fillings?

I had braces when I was in my late twenties and my orthodontist told me that adults benefit more from braces than do kids or teens because your face structure doesn't stop growing and your teeth don't stop moving until you become an adult. He said that in today's society, somehow having braces has become "cool" and kids are pushing their parents to fork out thousands of dollars for unnecessary orthodontic work that may straighten the teeth while they are on, but the teeth may then move around after they come off. Even with a retainer. Unfortunately in today's greedy world, some orthodontists are money-hungry and won't tell you these things.

Also, one bit of advice I would like to share with anyone interested in getting braces. THEY HURT! They hurt bad! So if you have a low pain tolerance - don't get braces. You will be miserable! But if you can stick it out like I did for three years, it is well worth it.

How often do you go to the DENTIST?

i think the youngest you can get them is 7 but they dont hurt at all! i got my braces 2 days ago and didnt feel nothing but pressure and that was it!
