I signed up for Syrex to volunteer to have my wisdom teeth removed. Is this a good idea.?

They pay but I have heard that they use placebo's?

I'm wearing my retainer again after 10 years, is it normal to experience excruciating pain and sensitivity?

i never heard of such a thng before. u volunteered to hav ur wisdom tooth removed? well.looks like having it is not making a diff anyway

i want to know good dental clinics in bangalore?

I am pretty sure that it is a study on pain medication, so yes, some participants will receive placebos as part of the treatment. I don't know if that is just for part of the pain meds or all of it, or what, but if you are as unsure as your question sounds, you might want to think twice about it. Go with your gut feeling.

Third question about my teeth..?

If you are participating in a medical double-blind test, then yes, some of the people will be given placebos in order to check the effacity of the drug itself versus the effacity of merely thinking that you have been given the drug. However to answer the question of removing your wisdom teeth, you should really ask your dentist, because if there is no need to remove them due to jaw size limitations, then you are causing unneccesay trauma to your jaws, gums, and adjacent teeth, which is never a good idea.

I have bad teeth and am afraid to go to the dentist. Help!?

Assuming you need them removed anyway, and assuming that Syrex is a company looking for research numbers, it sounds OK - not much can go wrong with a water and salt mixture used to keep the space as germ-free as possible after an extraction. Not scary. Not many other options anyway. And thanks - I need one removed too and if they pay me instead of me paying them to extract, that would be good! More research is in order.
