my son is teething and i don't know what to do?

Question:
He is driving me crazy. He doesn't went to eat or play . and with his toys. I lay with him and do other stuff with him . but he is driving me crazy hellp

Answers:
orajel.. give him some cold teething rings or a passy to chew on. my son has never liked a passifer but he uses it to get to the back part of his mouth. also. if he sucks the orajel off his gums (my son does all the time and it never gives the medacine time to kick in) then give him infant tylenol. also, i bought an infant/toddler tooth brush and gave it to my son to chew on (this is not what i use to brush his teeth, thats with another toothbrush and this is not a good idea to resort to for the child to brush their teeth) but the bristles feel good to their gums, sorta massages them. also, give him cold drinks, its a shock to the gums and makes them calm down for a while.

When my first started teething..my aunt told me to let him chew on a large carrot. I kinda laughed but when I gave it to him..it was amazing.its cold and they like the taste.but because they can't bite them yet..it feels good.and they aren't bad for them either.
A clod wet washcloth works too.but my kids loved the carrot.

Oh my, my son was the same way! They do tend to drive ya crazy. Give him some infants tylenol. If he doesn't like those frozen gel toys that they make for babies when their teething, I'd give him a popsicle, it'll be messy, but he'll love it! I'd try getting those Pediatrician popsicles if your worried about sugar, or maybe the sugar free ones. It's really up to you. I just know it will keep him quiet until the tylenol kicks in. You may want to try orajel, my son didn't like it and he just screamed, but every baby is different. If none of these things help I'd go to http://www.babycenter.com That website saved me! =o) Good luck! try buying him teething rings or toys you put them in the freezer or if he doesn't like them try a frozen waffle

Baby Tylenol, and a teether. You can also stick your finger in his mouth (if it is clean, of course) and rub the gums a bit. They seem to like that. Topical anesthetics like Orajel don't work well because they wash out quickly, and they taste terrible.

Good luck! My 5 month old daughter is doing the same thing right now.
