Well im 16 and I just had mine pulled a couple of weeks ago. Mine were still under the gums when the pulled them though. In mine they made little slits on the sides of the gum and made a flap which they put back after the surgery. I was over it so quickly so if that happens to you, you will be fine. As for the teeth growing faster... ive never heard of any way. Sorry.

If they don't grow in, but are actually there, they are impacted molars. It is better for you to get them out when you are young and your jawbone is more malleable than waiting until you are older and your bones are harder. There isn't anything you can do to make them grow faster. As to pain, it depends on how bad they are impacted. The worse the impaction, the worse the pain. Plan on having some nice pain meds after the procedure.
There is no way to make your teeth grow in faster, especially ones so far back in your mouth.... I know, it's horrible...
Now as for the pain in getting ones wisdom teeth removed... During the procedure you won't feel a thing, you won't feel a thing till about an hour after the surgery when the anesthesia wears off, if you have your prescriptions in hand you will have some comfort, BUT, it's a very painful process, your gums will bleed and your mouth will hurt, it will be sore, but it's not something to be afraid of because the pain is only temporary. After the first day you will feel better, it will take a little over a week for you to fully heal and the swelling in your face to go down, but the pain killers the dentist will give you work wonders.
Hope this info helps!
I am 24 and just had all 4 removed in May..... i was put out and didnt have ANY problems at all... though i did hear my share of horror stories =)
They are very good at doing it now, though if they are impacted, there can still be difficulites, all of mine were through so it was pretty easy.
I dont think you can make them grow any faster though =)
Best of Luck
Is it okay for my mouth to hurt 2-3 days after I have gotten my wisdom teeth surgically removed?
yea i have to get mine taken out too because mine are impacted...im wondering if it will hurt too...but there is no way to make them grow faster...i wish there was...lol! I have gotton teeth taken out other than wisdom teeth and it doesnt really hurt but there is a lot of pulling and tugging that tends to get me nervous...but i think that's different than wisdom teeth...i guess.
Good Luck!
get them taken out as soon as possible. i was told that i should have had mine removed when i was 18 cause they were crowding the rest of my teeth, growing also outward back into my flesh of my jaws, and well. i couldn't afford t o have them removed and my mother wouldn't help me. it was going to cost about $175 per tooth. not including the exam.
each tooth, as they impacted, barely became visible due to the misalignment, and the gums would overlap them, making it even harder to keep them clean. it trapped food, even if i used mouthwash, it just wasn't good enough. they became decayed and then extremely painful as i got older. by the time i was 28, i was in so much pain that my father in law took me to the dentist and had that one wisdom tooth removed. the dentist highly recommended having the other 3 removed, because he said that they would do the same thing. and he was right, 2 years later, the another wisdom tooth became infected. and when the dentist removed it, there was nothing left of the top half of the tooth, it had just taken in too much decay. funny, cause the rest of my normal teeth are just fine.
i still have 2 wisdoms left, and one is already starting to hurt. and what i have, is very crooked teeth now, and no way to afford the removal of my other wisdoms and to get braces to straighten my teeth.
you cannot make them come in faster...wisdoms take a very long time to impact and fully submerge from the gums, even if they do come up straight.
if your dentist recommends removal, have them all done at once, or within a few weeks...and yes, it will only hurt the day they are removed, and the dentist will most likely prescribe medication for the pain. there is one major thing to know after they are removed, do not suck on the empty space, it needs alot of time to harden.
