Oh no i couldnt have managed without painkillers so i feel really sorry for you, hot or cold drinks work because they expand the metal (cant remember if its hot or cold that does that!) I slept an awful lot and found it better when i didnt have to speak. Try teething gel, i was utterly miserable but it only lasted a couple of weeks and is so worth all the pain, hang in there xxx

meanwhile take some hot fluids --- tea,coffee(steaming,if possible).helps to dampen the pain..usually works

DO NOT use Oragel! I used it for a toothache once for a short period of time - like a week or two. Yes, it killed the pain real good. It also DESTROYED the whole tooth! Take some ibuprophen and stick it out.
