I have to get two molars extracted!?

ok, well i went to the dentist today and they x-rayed my teeth. my top molars are in definate need of help. the dentist said its up to me what i wanna do. after him giving me suggestions and his opinion, i came to the conclusion of geting my two top molars on each side taken out, which is something he agrees with. i have vicodin and kelflex for the pain now, and he offers laughing gas when i get them pulled in like 14 days.... if i don't do it, and got a root canal, and then get it crowned, within years, they can break and crack and fall apart again. and theres no point if i still have my wisdon teeth..it seemed ok earlier today, but now that i thought about it, im terrified!
i don't know what to expect, how bad it will hurt, what im gonna eat, what its gonna feel like and everything. im so scared now and i don't wanna do it! please anyone who knows anything about it, please tell me and let me know everyone so i feel better about this! thanks!

Yeah, it's gonna hurt afterward. Laughing gas is great. It'll make you feel nice, and not notice the pain much. As for food, get SpaghettiO's, Jello, rice,.. stuff that you don't have to chew a whole lot, because your mouth will be sore for at least a few days. Oh, and no drinking through a straw, because that might create dry sockets, which I hear are really painful.

i know how you feel. i got two teeth taken out. trust me it wil not hurt.i was waiting for my dentist to extract them. i was like ok so when we gonna do it? he already did it. i didnt even notice. but after word my gums hurt just a little bit. they were just sore. i got novacane and laughing gas. the novacane lasted for a long time. it felt weird around my mouth cause i couldnt feel anything. but it went away soon enough. dont worry. its ok. good luck to you.
