This may be hard to hear, but chances are if you are already in pain you've waited to long. You will need to see a dentist for sure. For temporary relief over the counter you can take orajel maximum strength, unless you are allergic to local anesthetics. Rub a small amount on the gum and the cavity(area you feel the pain at) and this will give temporary relief of your pain until you can see a dentist. Just remember the sooner you go the better. Also, the earlier you get it taken care of, the cheaper it will be. I hope this helps.
