Is it possible for your wisdom teeth to get infected? and get better without antibiotics?

we think my boyfriends teeth are infected and he hurts pretty bad.Do you think it is infected and id it is infected, can it go away on its own?

people who have got ur wisdom teeth pulled out please answer this?

Answers:
ABSOLUTLY NOT. What is wrong with you guys? He is in a very dangerous situation. If it's not treated, the infection will likely become septic ( poison his bloodstream, if it hasn't already). This is an infection, more dangerous than many. If the infection gets to his heart, he could very easily die, and without immediate treatment, he will. I've seen this tragedy two times in the ER. GO NOW, not later, or tomorrow. This is a job for an oral surgeon.

Your boyfriend really should go to the dentist!

Has anyone evr been dreadful of the dentist? If so how did handle it?

It may very well be infected, go to your dentist or even dr if they can see you sooner and get antibiotics right away! Trust me, I had this problem for a month and it DOES NOT go away on its own, just keeps getting worse.
Good luck.

Is cosmetic dentisty in Thailand safe and reliable? and as cheap as they say?

You need to see an oral surgeon ASAP. The same thing happened to me and I work in a dental office. They will place him on antibiotics, DO NOT self medicate. Once he is on the antibiotics for about a week or so they will have him come back to have the teeth extracted. Don't panic, he is not going to die, I don't know where some people get their information. Millions of people have wisdom teeth that are infected. You don't need to got to the ER unless he is running a high fever or very very swollen. Also have him rinse with warm salt water until he can make it to the DDS. Remember once he gets on antibiotics he will feel a lot better, this is only temporary relief. The infection will come back until he has the teeth remove. Good Luck.
