I had them last year. I just got them off on June 6, 2006 (6/6/6, isn't that great lol) And I will never forget the date! Because I HATED braces!! They were the worst. I would get food and stuff stuck in them and I would always bust my lip when I hit my mouth. Uhhh. I am so happy that I don't have to wear them anymore! I only had to wear them for a year though, I got them on May 2005. Uck, I hated them! I know how you feel, I never wanted to smile because they looked so ucky that I didn't want anyone to see them. They also made me look so young. Like, I looked at a picture of me the day before I got them off, and the day after. And I looked totally different. Like, I looked older without them on. It was weird, but being with my friends and seeing a cute guy, I would always smile with my mouth closed lol. Anyway, you are going to love it when you get them off! First they are going to feel all slimy and weird, but I didn't care. I just love even hearing that they were gone! lol, I know, but I hated them. I don't see how some people actually want to get them. Wackos!! lol (no offense to anyone who does, it is just that you are crazy if you do) =]
