Why are my teeth discolored?

I take good care of my teeth, I brush and floss on a regular basis, I don't smoke or drink coffee, yet they are a yellowish color. It pisses me off that I take such good care of them and they look ugly. Does stress cause your teeth to decay maybe?

Has anyone found that after having a baby they get lots of cavities?

Answers:
Teeth are naturally a yellowish colour. Other contributing shades are brown/yellow/grey. Ask your dentist to show you a shade guide that we use for matching up false teeth. You'll see that there are very few white shades. Most young people are about an A3 (Lumin), which is a light yellow.
But people associate white with cleanliness and beauty, hence the big demand for whitening products. And manufacturers are happy to exploit us. Talk to your dentist about what you want to achieve, and see what he suggests. Ask about the advantages/disadvantages/risks of any treatment.
Whitening toothpastes are really just extrinsic stain removers, and won't do anything for people like you who don't have such vices, so don't waste your money there. Similarly for mouthwashes.
No, stress doesn't cause decay. Decay is a bacterial process. And milk won't change them either.

Chewing gum while sleeping?

It could be your liver. Usually if there's something wrong with your liver your eyes and teeth will turn a yellowish color but i'm not trying to scare you or anything. You could just not be brushing them enough.
