I got my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago. dental expertise pls?

I got my wisdom teeth out (as u can see by my questions) they got horrifically infected i was in the hospital for 5 days and they had to do emergency surgery to drain the infection out! I almost died!!! I got stuck with a damn tube in my throat until yesterday. I got it removed and now im starting to get a swollen chin again. The dentist has been great and from his rep, sure knows what hes talking about. i spoke to him and he said its normal cause its clear. Any dentists out there that know anything about this?

I don't have personal experience with an infection as severe as what you have endured. All I can say is that the surgeon WANTS to hear from you if you have any problems or questions. It is MUCH easier to fix something before it gets out of hand than to wait until heroic measures are required. Since he said "it's normal," I'd have to accept that as true. If it doesn't look better by tomorrow, though, go let him take a look in person.

I agree, your doctor has a much better feel on this case, so any questions you are better off asking him about it. But what do you mean by "he said its normal cause its clear"?
