Nosebleed three days after wisdom teeth out...?
I just had my wisdom teeth out three days ago, and then today I had to do quite a bit of talking and smiling and such. I've been tasting blood all day and a few minutes ago I just had a major nosebleed, though it didn't last too long. Is it anything to be concerned about?
Answers:
When I had teeth pulled in the past, I was told by the dentist that any top teeth pulled could affect my sinuses for a bit. So yes it is normal, but if there is alot of bleeding, I'd call the dentist or go to the ER if it's really bad. Also a good place for medical information, when in doubt is Ask-A-Nurse. Hope you feel better! ~Julie

is there an alternative to braces other than veneers or invisalign?
No. They are not related.wat can u do 2 get rid of mouth sores due to braces.?
actually they can be related as the sinuses run along the top edge of the roots of the upper wisdom teeth and some times they can actually been in the sinus cavity so that when they are pulled blood can enter into the sinuses. there shouldn't be much of a problem but you do need to call the oral surgeon as he may want to check to make sure all is ok
Whats a pallet expander?(Teeth)?
yes go to the doctors office.
Sudden nosebleeds (without trauma) are usually caused by 2 things.
Very dry air and/or high blood pressure.
If you have been breathing through your nose a lot because your mouth is still tender, you may have dried out your nasel passages.
Also if you have been in a lot of pain from having your teeth pulled, your blood pressure can go up as a response.
Unless it continues for more than a week, nothing to worry about.
What causes mouth ulcers and how can you prevent them?
no, most people, like my twin have nosebleeds after teeth pulled out. hers did not last long either. if your nosebleed exceded 5 min. then i should talk with my doctor and dentist. I just recently had 4 teeth pulled out for braces and i also got a nosebleed for like 10 sec. so it is normal. just some people have long nosebleeds and some people have short ones so there is no concerns to be worried about.
They may or may not be related...noose bleeds are caused by dry air/heat..sinus infections, or trauma to your nose...it's possible that the office was dry..or your house is. i would sleep with a humidifier for a couple of days, or use a saline nose spray you can buy that at any drug store. and the tasting blood is normal, because it runs from your nose or sinuses, into the back of your throat. even if your nose isn't bleeding it can still be bleeding on the inside causing the taste in your mouth. I wouldn't worry about it, but i would try to get in as much moister as possible for a couple of days just to make sure this doesn't happen again.
I am looking for dental insurance?
Absolutely related! go back to the dentist and let them know this is happening. YOur top wisdom teeth can be touching your sinus. the could have perforated it.
