How long does it take to put veneers on and how long does it take to recover?

Any details would be great, I am going in for my first visit on monday.

does it hurt to get a root canal?

Answers:
There is no recovery!!

It's painless. You just have them make molds, and then they order the veneers and you go back to have them cemented on.

They may have to drill your tooth down a little bit, but that won't hurt.

Is bubble gum unhealthy? Like bubblicious or orbitz, trident, etc.?

I work for a dentist who just in the past couple years started doing veneers, and they are awesome! Because the veneer only covers the front portion of the tooth, there is minimal drilling. The most discomfort you will have if any is some cold sensitivity, but in our office we apply a desensitizer that does help. Depending on how many veneers are being done depends on the length of the appointment, 2-3 hours. normally it takes 3 weeks for the permanent product to be made and you will be in temps for that time. And your temps should look almost as good as the permanent ones if your dentist is good.
