bad taste in mouth?
Question:
Answers:
It is normal to have drainage in the area after having your wisdom teeth extracted, and this is what causes the bad taste in your mouth. It is very important that you rinse these areas with warm salt water and the syringe that they should have given you. This can last for quite some time it just takes time to heal. If the area becomes painful or severely swollen you will need to return to your dentist. They may want to place you on antibiotics to clear this up. Good Luck.

Could be infection. Follow up with your dentist or oral surgeon.
Left over blood, scabs = bad taste!! You'll have stiches to pull together the gums. After the stitches dissolve (I had dissolvable stitches :D), it will feel like you have holes in the back of your mouth. Food tends to get caught back there, so remember to flush those areas out well or else they might get infected and hurt worse. I got a syringe-type deal with a plastic tip that I could flush out the holes. It could be old food or even the beginning of an infection. Have your doc take a look.
